How would you describe RUS universe in three words?
Fluid, Soft, Sublime

What sort of spaces do you find inspiring?
Deconstructed or eclectic wholeness where every detail plays its own interesting part but still works together.

Where do you find them?

Everywhere. It could be some super famous and specific architecture like Ricardo Bofill’s “La Muralla Roja” or just a light reflection hitting a corner in a(ny) room and breaking it up in a new pattern.

What colors and shapes are you drawn to the most?
I don’t dismiss any colour. I see colour as a part of a relationship and dialogue, since all colours are relative and never absolute, how they appear is always dependent on what's next to it.

Depending on the context I like both tone on tones and bold contrasts. But my own way of combining colours is using something "dirty and something flirty" together (something dusty with something clear), it always creates an interesting combination.

Peach though, is an all time favorite single colour.

For shapes I’m very fond of simple geometrical graphic ground shapes, like the circle, rectangle and cube. I believe that’s because its easier seeing them as a raw canvas where colour is the only decoration needed. Just as Kaj Franck said himself when creating the Teema porcelain series, also built on geometrical shapes, 70 years ago. I also find the play between 2D and 3D effect very interesting with those geometrical shapes.

Can you think of any space that can transform your mood in an instant?
So many. I find big concrete and stainless steel/ grey spaces very unpleasant, cold, and even non human. While any coloured room makes me feel something immediately. Colour has that immediate effect, some reactions are highly personal or cultural whilst others are biological (red for instance).

Just visiting Stockholm’s tiled subway stations, designed by different artists, can make me smile any grey November morning.
